Stryker’s Orthopaedic Instruments and Surgical Technologies Mobile Experience
On November 17th, the special Stryker vehicle arrived at the Rizzola Clinic for a day of training that involved about 100 healthcare professionals from the Triveneto region.
Stryker is a global leader in medical technology, operating in 75 countries with over 46,000 employees. The company offers innovative products and services for the medical and surgical, orthopedic, spinal, and neurotechnology sectors, treating over 100 million patients worldwide each year.
Stryker’s mission—”Together with our customers, we are driven to make healthcare better”—inspired the Stryker’s Orthopaedic Instruments and Surgical Technologies Mobile Experience project. This mobile lab truck is traveling across Europe to share knowledge and inform healthcare professionals about the latest technologies developed by the company.
The CDC Sileno and Anna Rizzola was selected as the first stop on the second Italian tour of the truck in 2022. Thanks to the partnership between Stryker and the Rizzola Academy Foundation, a training event was held on November 17, 2022, at the clinic. The event also involved healthcare professionals from other hospitals in the Venice province and the Triveneto region.
On the truck, participants had the opportunity to observe the most advanced powered systems for orthopedics, which are used in both orthopedic joint replacement surgeries and trauma and extremity surgeries (hand and foot). Additionally, the most innovative solutions for optimizing the safety of both patients and healthcare professionals in the operating room were presented. The mobile lab also showcased the latest technologies for arthroscopic surgical procedures and for selective visualization and treatment in oncology and minimally invasive surgery.
